Hello and welcome, Yoga with Madhu started in Durham, NC. I’m Madhu; I am a Certified Integral Yoga Teacher from Swami Satchidananda Institute in Yogaville, VA.

Integral yoga is a gentle, Hatha Practice and is so-called because it seeks to integrate the mind, body, and spirit. It gives students the tools they need to live a peaceful, healthy, joyful, and useful life.

I have specialized training and certification from Yogaville in powerful, safe, and proven methods for reversing and avoiding osteoporosis and osteopenia. These Yoga asanas can help to build and maintain strong and healthy bones.

A 10-year study by Dr. Loren Fishman demonstrated an increase in bone mineral density and improved bone quality with regular practice of 12 Yoga Poses. These yoga asanas also improve your balance, posture, strength, range of motion, and coordination, greatly reducing fractures’ risk.

Yoga with Madhu started in Durham NC, during the pandemic months in early April. Since then I have been sharing my yoga experiences with family, friends, and neighbors to help them relax and deal with various stresses of life.

Our yoga classes are offered in Durham NC and online. They include Asanas (Poses), Pranayama, breathing practices, guided deep relaxation, and meditation.

I offer private lessons designed according to your needs.

Group lessons are for beginners and intermediate levels.
Each lesson is an hour-long via Zoom.

The yoga classes are moderately paced to gently tone and invigorate the mind, body, and create energy.

Each class will highlight on Asanas (Physical Poses), Pranayama (Breathing Practices), Deep Relaxation, and brief Meditation.

The classes will focus on Joint Freeing Exercises to help with Arthritis and Yoga for Stronger Bones to help with Osteoporosis.

Guidelines for practicing Yoga

1.  Yoga is done on empty stomach so no food for at least 3 hours before the yoga class.  You can drink water, tea or coffee.

2.  Please wear comfortable clothing.  

3.  Need a yoga mat and if you have a yoga strap that is helpful.  

4.   Please check your devices and see the volumes and the video cameras are working.  Please keep the setting at  MUTE during the class.

5.  Log in 5-10  minutes before the class.
